SViolet and her litter of six nursing kittens came in to the shelter on Thursday morning. After basic checkups, they were all healthy. I picked them up to provide them a quiet, safe space to finish growing up. Violet is gentle and a little bit shy, but seems to be warming up to me. The kittens are about three weeks old, so after only a day of aclimation they were comfortable around people. Violet had some issues with a nervous stomach, but the vet suggested that it might be due to change in diet. She was given special digestive diet food, and she seems to be adjusted after a few days of discomfort. The kittens are getting more curious and adventurous every day. By day seven (about 4 weeks old), then tend to come flooding out of the den to greet any person who comes in.
